Q:I like to comb conditioner through my hair with a wide-tooth comb when I'm in the shower, but I end up losing a lot of hair down the drain. Is that normal?
A: I definitely agree with combing conditioner through your hair with wide-toothed comb when you're in the shower because you'll get maximum benefits from distributing the conditioner evenly. The reason it seems like you lost half your head of hair in the shower is because you're more aware of how much hair you're losing because it's ending up on your comb instead of being washed down the drain. By combing it, you're not pulling or breaking your hair; it's hair that would have come out anyway.
