Q:What's the deal with a two-in-one shampoo and conditioner products?

A: Shampoo and conditioner two-in-ones seem like they might save you time in the morning, but they can't effectively clean and moisturize hair at once. Shampoo is essentially a cleanser, designed to remove oil and dirt from the hair shaft and scalp. Conditioner (or detangling rinse) works emollients and moisture back into the shaft. Therefore, a two-in-one product won't do either very well, and often leaves hair dull (because it isn't properly cleansed) and unresponsive to styling.
